Happy New Year. No best-of lists or flashbacks about what was but thanks for all the great times at the show, at the track, on the blue bike, at the game, at the diner, at the bar, on the train, on the street, at the market, in Toulouse, in Huntley, in Nashville, in Sunnyside, in the woods, on the Mission, at the Oakland Coliseum and on and on.

Hoping all the great songwriters who put out wonderful tunes in 2014 can do more of the same in 2015.

Kevin Morby, Jeremy Earl, Tim Presley, Sam France, Jonathan Rado, Kyle Thomas, Spencer Sult, Oliver Kalb, Henry Crawford, Mitski, Aaron Maine, Greta Kline, Glenn Donaldson, Donovan Quinn, Dave Benton, Mike Caridi, Nick Corbo, Sadie Dupuis, Danny Bengston, Erik Jimenez, William Keegan. Keep it going. You’re all young and crazy talented.

And here’s hoping Gourmet from Olympia, WA puts out more songs to follow up on their incredible self-released debut cassette You Hear That?

The Epoch crew left my head spinning after that night at the Knit a few weeks ago.  It’s helped me process the year that was and look for another good 12 months coming up. To borrow words from them: Hope to See Bright and Be Fine – even as Small Wonder (s) remain (s) elusive, mysterious, and out there in some form or another.

Cheers.
